Live chain stitch embroidery

Guests get a piece finished with raised, vintage-style chain stitching, made live at your event.

The live chain-stitch embroidery station at a TV series launch in Toronto

What live chain stitching is

Chain stitch builds lettering and designs out of looped stitches, giving them a textured, vintage character that stands apart from standard flat embroidery. We bring the machines and operators to your event and stitch each piece on-site, so guests can watch their item being made.

Questions

What is live chain stitching?

Chain stitch is an embroidery style made of looped stitches, which gives lettering a raised, vintage look. For the Toronto launch of a TV series, we brought embroidery machines to the event and personalized bandanas with live chain stitching.

What can you chain-stitch at an event?

Our published chain-stitch work is on bandanas. Send us the item you have in mind and we will confirm whether it suits the technique before we quote.

How many guests can take part?

That depends on the product, the design, the number of machines and the event hours. Your quote states the planned number of personalized items for the setup we agree on.

What do you need from the venue?

We review working space, power, load-in, guest circulation and a collection area with your venue before the event, so the station fits the space.

Do you work outside Toronto?

Yes. We are based in Toronto and work across the GTA, including Mississauga, Vaughan and Markham. We also travel to events across Canada and the United States, with past activations in cities such as Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, Charlotte, Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles.

Does a quote request reserve our date?

No. We first check the date, the products and the venue requirements, then explain what is needed to confirm the booking.
